  Seniors have reported to the Attorney General's Office that they have received telephone calls from people claiming that the Seniors have won a cash prize and all they need to do to receive the prize is wire a fee to the organizers of that contest through Western Union.
 
 Driveway Paving Schemes
  Connecticut driveways took a beating this winter, prompting warnings from Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to beware of paving and sealing scams by con artist contractors. "As summer begins, we traditionally see an increase in the number of scam artists who approach senior homeowners with paving and resurfacing deals that sound to good to be true, and they are," Blumenthal said.

  Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is warning senior citizens to beware of scam artists who falsely accuse elderly drivers of hitting their car and then intimidate the elderly drivers into paying cash for the "damages."
